Article Processing Charge (APC)

Buletin Penelitian Kesehatan applies transparent publication fees to support manuscript processing, editorial services, publication, and long-term online access.

Important Information

Publication fees are administered separately from editorial decisions. Payment of any fee does not guarantee acceptance or publication. All manuscripts remain subject to editorial screening and double-blind peer review.

1. Current Fee Structure

2. Article Submission Fee

The Article Submission Fee is IDR 500,000 for manuscripts submitted on or after February 15, 2026.

Important:

The Article Submission Fee is non-refundable and applies to submitted manuscripts regardless of the final editorial decision. The submission fee is separate from the APC and is not deducted from the APC if the manuscript is accepted.

3. Article Processing Charge

The Article Processing Charge is payable only after the manuscript has successfully completed the editorial and peer-review process and has been accepted for publication.

Current APC

IDR 2,000,000

Applicable to manuscripts submitted on or after August 1, 2025.

4. Previous APC

For transparency, manuscripts submitted before August 1, 2025 were subject to the previous APC of IDR 1,750,000.

5. What the APC Supports

The APC contributes to the costs associated with:

Editorial administration and manuscript management.
Management of the peer-review process.
Language and editorial processing.
Copyediting and publication preparation.
Online publication and journal website maintenance.
Metadata preparation and dissemination.
Long-term accessibility of published articles.

6. Editorial Independence

Financial matters are separated from scientific and editorial decision-making.

Editors and reviewers do not make publication decisions based on an author's ability or willingness to pay.

Payment of the submission fee or APC does not guarantee acceptance, priority review, a favorable reviewer recommendation, or publication.

7. Waivers and Discounts

If the journal offers a waiver, discount, institutional arrangement, or special publication program, the eligibility requirements and amount will be communicated transparently.

Any waiver or discount decision will be administered separately from the scientific evaluation of the manuscript and will not influence the editorial decision.
