In Indonesia, husbands’ involvement in the birthing process is around 45%- 53%. Based on research, this has increased, but involvement is limited to following directions from health workers without having any knowledge about the care that should be facilitated by the husband during the birthing process. The results of a preliminary study at one of the PMBs in Tasikmalaya City found that 5 out of 10 births were accompanied by husbands, all of whom were actively involved in facilitating nutritional and elimination needs, but none of the husbands helped in reducing labour pain. This community service aims to increase the knowledge of birth attendants regarding childbirth preparation and the support of birth attendants during labour. The implementation method is video media for each couple who carries out ANC examinations in June-July 2023 at two PMBs. Each pair was given a knowledge questionnaire before and after giving the video. After providing a video with a duration of fewer than 10 minutes to the birth companion, the p-value = 0.000, which means that giving the video to the birth companion can be an effective medium of information regarding basic care in the husband's involvement during childbirth which can increase the husband's knowledge thereby reducing confusion about the role what a husband must do in preparing for childbirth during pregnancy and while accompanying his wife through the birthing process.
