Author Guidelines

1. General Information

Jurnal Bidan Cerdas is a peer-reviewed journal publishing original research articles, literature reviews, and case studies in the field of midwifery, health reproduction, maternal and child health, and related areas. Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

All submissions are subject to plagiarism screening and must comply with ethical publication standards.

2. Manuscript Preparation

2.1. Article Structure

Manuscripts should be prepared in the following order:

Title (maximum 15 words, without research year)
Author(s) Name and Affiliation
Abstract (150–250 words, structured into Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion)
Keywords (3–5 keywords, separated by semicolons)
Introduction
Methods
Results
Discussion
Conclusion
Author’s Contribution Statement
Conflict of Interest
Funding Statement
Acknowledgments (if any)
References

2.2. Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts must be written in MS Word (.docx) format.
Length: 5,000–7,000 words including tables and references.
Font: Times New Roman, size 12, single spacing.
Page size: A4, margins 2.5 cm.
Use 1 column format.

3. Abstract and Keywords

Abstract must be structured (Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion).
Word limit: 150–250 words.
Provide 3–5 keywords that best represent the article.

4. References

A minimum of 25 references is required.
At least 80% of the references must come from journal articles published within the last 10 years.
References must follow APA Style (6th Edition).
The use of reference manager software (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero) is highly recommended.

5. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Figure 1, etc.).
Each must have a clear title and description.
Place tables and figures within the text, not as separate files.

6. Ethical Considerations

Research involving human participants must include a statement of ethical approval from a recognized ethics committee.
Informed consent must be obtained from all participants.
Authors must declare any conflicts of interest.

7. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system (OJS) of Jurnal Bidan Cerdas.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed authors have approved the final manuscript.

8. Review and Publication

Submitted manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.
The editorial team reserves the right to make minor editorial adjustments to improve clarity and consistency.
Accepted manuscripts will be published in the upcoming issue based on the editorial schedule.
